THE DEAD FLOWERS　

10年間のナッシュヴィル、ニューヨーク在住後2004年に帰国した音楽修士・永井崇を中心に2005年結成。都内でのライブ活動を開始。2007年、ジャズ、ブルーズ、カントリー、Ｒ＆Ｂ、ラテン、ワールド・ミュージック等、ポピュラー音楽の多様性「音楽のるつぼ」を具体化するオリジナル楽曲をまとめた3部作の1作目、ファンキー＆ブルージーな要素を抽出した「Good Ol’ Brand New Music」を発表。そして2012年春、ソフト＆メロウな部分をライブ・セット仕立てにまとめた2作目「mellow flowers」完成。今後、世界のポピュラー音楽に目を向けた楽曲をまとめて、3部作最終章「ワールド編」として発表計画中。

メンバー病気療養中のため、現在活動休止中。
